& with much controversy & injuries

We are now finally down to the last 4...

The host nation & the nation with most World Cup win in history (5 time champion)

Brazil

The 3 time winner, the red hot favorites, The Tank, Germany

The 2 time champion & making their 1st semi final appearance in a World Cup since 1990

The Messi's army, Argentina

& last but no least the only nation within the last 4 to never won the World Cup before

The 3 time runner up, Orange Army, Netherlands/Holland

& now came the biggest question of all, which nation will lift the World Cup???

Will the World Cup stay in Brazil for a record 6 times?

Or will familiar faces in Germany & Argentina bring the World Cup back home?

Or will the Netherlands finally win the World Cup?

The answer will be one step clearer come July 9 & July 10

When this 4 meet for 2 spot in the final in Rio De Janeiro,

Maracana Stadium for the grandest prize of all.

First up on July 9 2014,

It's the first semi-final match between host nation Brazil & Germany

Brazilians make it this far by topping Group A following a

3-1 win over Croatia on the opening day

0-0 draw with the Mexicans

& finally ensuring qualification for the last 16 with 4-1 trashing over Cameroon

Brazil would than go on to beat Chile 3-2 in penalty after a 120 mint 1-1 draw

All thanks to two save from Goalkeeper Julio Cesar

Brazil than beat Colombia 2-1 in the Quarter Final to reach the Semi-Final stage

But Brazil will be without captain Thiago Silva & star man Neymar in the Semi-Final

Silva is suspended after receiving a second yellow card against the Colombians

While Neymar is out for the rest of the tournament with fracture vertebra

Brazilians are famous for their attacking football approach in this year tournament

As most predicted

The host nation are not shy of attacking but often ran out of gas in the second half

& now with star man attacker Neymar out of the tournament

Forward Fred & second choice center forward Jo both out of form

While center back & captain Thiago Silva suspended for the Semi-Final clash

Brazilians may want to rethink their strategy for the Semi-Final

Especially when it's up against the red hot on form Germans

For the 1st time in this tournament fans can expect Brazil to play it safe

& be as defensive as possible against the Germans waiting for a chance at counter attack

For this match, this is my prediction for Brazil's starting 11

With a late equalizer to savage a point for the Germans

The Tank nation will than go on to defeat heavily defensive side United States 1-0

When Thomas Mueller scored his 4th goal of the tournament 

Following his opening match hat trick against Portugal

To help Germany secured all 3 points & top spot of their group

In the Round of Last 16 Germany faced an inspiring Algeria side that pushed them into extra time

Before an early extra time goal from Andre Schurrle & than an 118 mint goal from Ozil

Finally put the Algerians to rest in a match that ended in 2-1 after 120 mint of football

Germany would than go on to beat a off form side in France 1-0 in the Quarter Final

To ensure a spot in the Semi-Final all thanks to an earlier heading goal from defender Hummels.

Going into the Semi-Final, Germany has no injuries or suspension worries

As they can go into their Semi-Final clash with host nation Brazil with their strongest squad

Germany is an nation that enjoy so much success in the past but had been disappointing lately

But with the revolution of Low comes a new generation of German Tank Army

Youngster like Gotze, Ozil & Mueller etc. along with experienced players like Lahm

Has proven to be the perfect combination so far

Their flowing tiki taka way of football has been some what entertaining & effective thus far

There's no doubt they are the favorites to outlast a Neymar & Silva less Brazilian side

& if they do so than they will be sure favorite to lift the World Cup 

For a 4th time in their nation history

But they need to be cautious about Brazilian's deadly attack from the defense

As Brazilian forwards maybe out of form but their defenders has been on fire lately

Especially Brazil center back David Luiz who scored 2 goals in Brazil's last 2 game

Also, Brazil will be going into the Semi-Final with the home advantage as they are the host nation

So expect the Brazilian fans to back their team up as a twelve man on the field

This one will be a fiery tense match with lots of tackles & goal scoring opportunity

But make no mistake that Germany will still be the favorites to reach the Final

Just because they have the better & fitter squad for the match

Germans will pretty much be as offensive as possible in the earlier stages of the match

Knowing that the longer the match remain goalless the more disadvantage they will be in

Brazilians will hope for a counter attack while Germany will do the exact opposite

Bare in mind, Brazil is without Neymar & Silva so should they be able to hold on

& should this one go into extra time or even penalty

The tide could be turn to advantage the Brazilians as the Germans with the stronger squad

Will surely starting to have doubts about their ability to beat an weaken Brazilian side

In extra time or penalty after failing to do so in regular time

& thus this is my prediction for Germany starting lineup against Brazil in the Semi-Final:
